Blah.

Voila. I have a wedding tomorrow. It starts at 7 am and goes until late in the night.
My wrists will kill me.

My camera with the 80-200mm, the flash, the battery grip and the camera itself is so effing heavy.

Tripod is a must.
>.>

Alright, I shall chat later and hopefully update with moaarrr piiccttuuurees.
I have a studio set now.
The only problem is the wattage is very... low.
Too low and it's orange or {warm}.
I want WHITE.
And BRIGHT.
=(
Anyone know where one can obtain such a tungsten lamp?

The camera store? Hardware stores? Carrington lighting?

I'll ask the guy I worked with this summer... he's been in the business for 28 years...

"I hate hearing people say 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it.' What kind of anti-progressive crap is that? Hey buddy? Your quote is outdated--FIX IT."

Well now that I've been using them for a while and it's turning out perfectly.
I may go a higher wattage but that will come in time!
Thanks for the tip. I'll check out carrington lighting.

In answer to your question, they do make tungsten lighting that will do what you are wanting, however they are extremely hot, have a life span of about 7 hours and are very expensive. I would suggest taking a look at photo balanced flourescent lighting, The bulbs are available at 5500 degree kelvin color temps, the same as natural light, and the come in wattages up to 600 watts and use only a fraction of the power of tungsten lights. They are somewhat expensive but they have a lifespan of 10,000 hours. Both types of lamps can be found at most photography supply stores as well as online stores. I have found them for better pricing on e-bay.

Photography is art. It is the art of painting with light.
